In 63AD the Romans had to rebuild the port?facilities of London?on a part of the Thames close to the site that would later become the City of London. The most enduring material for this structure at that time, was wood. They found a small forest of Oak trees growing on the Greenwich peninsular. The Romans felled the Oak and dragged the huge timbers back to this site.?Slowly over time the Roman port had become submerged and has been preserved in silt for over 2000 years.
We now own this remarkable material and like diamonds there is a limited amount of this precious artefact.Using innovative new technology in order to utilize this resource we have made a core Thames wood collection, which includes our ever popular and iconic Geo collection. This particular collection is made using engineering techniques and precious metals such as gold palladium platinum and Fairtrade god as well as our gorgeous Thames wood. We also have our very popular Swing pendant which you can also customise with engraving and stone setting.
